Currently with 45 hectares of vineyards, Quinta de Valbom lives within a sustainable perspective.
Restoration of water lines and traditional shale walls; the use of schist props to frame the entire vineyard; the use of mules or males to work in the vineyards and the maintenance of the traditional field blend with grape varieties typical from the region, are some of the used techniques and materials.
In Spring time, the overgrowth between the lines of the vines is quite visible. When flowering, it will attract pollinators, enrich the soil, and reduce the high risk of erosion, given the steep slopes typical of the region.
In this regenerative viticulture perspective, the landscape becomes an authentic natural painting, which is only possible with culture operations designed for the viticultural system, having sustainability as the main pillar.
